- unenhanced and super fucking badass
- keeps up with super soldiers and gods and spies and assassins on the regular
- fights enhanced fiery soldiers and comes out with barely a scratch even when he doesn’t have a suit to protect him
- doesn’t let a life-changing injury stop him from doing what’s right

Also. Everyone likes Rhodey have you noticed that? Sam and Rhodey are bros. Nat and Rhodey are super friendly. Like the reason the fight in civil war full stops is when Rhodey is hurt. The rest of team Cap could have bailed.

Rhodey is a brilliant combination of self-assured but not arrogant, virtuous but not sanctimonious, driven but not reckless, loyal but not blindly so. He has foresight but he is not presumptuous. He is practical yet he is principled. He is humorous but not flippant. He is kind, and attentive, and forgiving, he is so damn smart, and spiritually stronger than most.

Tony pretends to be a completely level headed responsible adult whenever Peter is around and while Rhodey finds this hilarious the heart attack he experiences the first time Peter leaves and he turns around only to witness Tony knock back a redbull before chugging an entire pot of boiling hot coffee while kicking off his pants and simultaneously igniting a blow torch is absolutely real and terrifying.

Rhodes tells all is my absolute fave part bci love the idea of rhodey eating a pizza on the couch in avengers tower, taking revenge on tony for screwing with his suit, TMZ on speaker, going: ‘ya, the kid’s his son [chewing] who’s the mother? [more chewing] uhhh black widow [chewing] they’re both spiders, you see. [taking a sip from his soda] why it didn’t work out? well, tony cheated on her with uhhh [steve walks in, waves at rhodey] with captain america. yeah it was very bad for team morale.’
